Yodsaenklai & Kyshenko Fall Short

BOX CA YODSAENKL CHAMP THAI 200 Yodsaenklai & Kyshenko Fall Short

Did Yodsaenklai take home the gold in Beijing? What about K-1′s young Ukranian Muay Thai star, Kyshenko?. I’m sure most of you know of the news already as it has been circulating most forums and sites. I didn’t want to spoil it before you watched the footage, but i think the title speaks for itself.

Teerapong Dee from Thailand beat his more well known opponent Artur Kyshenko during the semi finals bout of the Sport Accord 71kg division. Maybe Artur needs to think about fighting in a heavier weight class?

In the Final of the 75kg division fight, we can firmly see that Yodsaenklai’s opponent, Artem Levin outpoints him with elbows, teeps and takes advantage of the shin pads by catching plenty of Yod’s kicks.

I have to say, Artem looks like a big bloke and just towers over Yod. He definitely used this to his advantage. Not only has Artem won multiple amateur championships but wearing all that protective gear makes the fight a whole new game.

Here’s their fight Beijing. And if your a major Yod fan, below it is their fight fom 2008 which i think you’ll enjoy more!

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
