Sitmonchai Videos

IMG 1441 Sitmonchai Videos

I’ve been at Sitmonchai for over a week now so i thought I’d share some raw footage i’ve taken during my time here. If your looking for more info on Sitmonchai gym, just visit their website at www.sitmonchai.com

First i thought I’d through up my little sneak peek into a interview/documentary i’m planning on putting together of Pornsaneh Sitmonchai. Would have really helped if the lighting was better there.

Next clip is of the resident film star Asanee Sitmonchai. You’ll remember him as the actor from  “Beutiful Boxer”. Asanee has crazy kicks and even though he still fights at big stadiums like Lumpinee and Rajadamnern he still does acting for asian commercials, music videos and even a soap opera he’s in!

This is Thepnimit Sitmonchai. His fighting style is a direct reflection of his stablemate Pornsaneh. He works alot of leg kicks and hard punchs in his fights trying to find a KO victory and TKO via leg kicks.

And of course here is the star of the gym. Pornsaneh is bursting with charisma through training. Here’s some videos of him working those thigh destroying leg kicks and working his punchtastic hands.

Last but not least. Here’s Abigail McCullough doing some focus mitt rounds working her uppercuts. Sitmonchai is a female friendly gym. Where most traditional muay thai gyms dont allow women into the ring, Sitmonchai makes the exception.

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.

Hello mike, I’ve read your review for sitmonchai gym, and I have a few question. :)

I want to learn muay thai in thailand, but I’m confused to choose, between Phuket(beach etc, but some people said they are a tourist gym), bangkok (nice gym, but the pollution??), koh tao island(don’t know anything bout that), and the last is Kanchanaburi (it’s like home gym, and feel like family). I am completely beginner, and looking for a serious gym to get a real muay thai. Could u give me some answer? Thx before. Khapun krap.

      Hi Yod,

For beginners, the gym you go to in Thailand won’t matter as much. There are plenty of quality gyms that provide excellent training in Phuket. Such as Sinbi Muay Thai, Phuket Dragon Muay Thai and Phuket Top Team. They are aimed towards tourists but that doesn’t mean the quality of training won’t be any good for beginners.
I think you just have to decide how much you want to spend (Budget) and where you want to spend your time (location) and work from there.
You will find serious trainers and students at all gyms.
