Return Of The Champ – Pornsaneh Sitmonchai

I was suppose to get around to posting this small video a week ago. Seeing as i made it, I don’t know how it slipped through the posts and ended up making it’s way onto this site a week late! The video i filmed and edited is of a Pornsaneh Sitmonchai. For those of you who are unaware of Pornsaneh, he is a Lumpinee Champion, Rajadamnern Champion, Thailand National Champion,  Delo Cup Champion and WMC Champion.

He is well known in Thailand and across the globe for his certain fighting style. Unlike the traditional style of muay thai, Pornsaneh likes to go into fights looking for devastating knockouts and leg shattering TKO’s. From the start of the bell until the end you’ll find him shooting off a barrage of punches and low kicks which has led him to take out half the win’s on his record by Knock out.

After suffering some hard losses Pornsaneh took a break from the fighting circuit and wasn’t sure on coming back. Since his loss to Kongsak in December last year, Pornsaneh stayed at Sitmonchai Gym for a few months and then made his way to a temple to be ordained as a Buddhist Monk which was then followed by him returning home to his parents where he worked on the farm. Now that he is back I just cannot wait to see him fight in the ring again. Hopefully i will be there for it.

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
