The video of Pornsaneh’s latest fight at Lumpinee is now up on YouTube. I’m just watching it now and Pornsaneh must have thrown at least 2467 leg kicks in that fight. I mean, it felt like everytime i blinked i was missing out on some leg kicks that he was constantly whipping out. Of course this doesn’t help him with the scoring department in Thailand, but dishes out a lot of punishment to his opponent none the less.

Khru Dam has been Pornsaneh’s padholder since he was a small boy. And as many people know Khru Dam is quite the boxing specialist around Sitmonchai gym. I keep in close contact with the Sitmonchai family and know that over the past 3 months Pornsaneh hasn’t had his usual padholder Khru Dam around to hold pads for him. Which brings me to the point that Pornsaneh didn’t let go of his hands as much in this fight. Even though punches aren’t scored as well as kicks, i think it would have helped to mix up the pace for Pornsaneh during the fight.

Pornsaneh should have one more fight in Thailand before he journeys to the Netherlands for his first international fight at Slamm VII. I’m going to try and catch up with him in early April to see how he and Yodkhunpon are doing before i start to film them full on in May. Should have a nice video up for those reading by end of April!

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
