Here we go, at long last: my first full length documentary. I’ve spent the past year learning the in’s and out’s of shooting and editing videos and dreaming of making a documentary on a sport i love. I’ve just launched my very own IndieGoGo Campaign to try to turn my dream into reality and i hope that many of you who have found Muay Thai Training Camps a valuable resource, you’ll consider helping me. I’ll be sharing my journey through the shoot where i will follow Pornsaneh Sitmonchai through his training camp for his first ever international fight in the Netherlands at Slamm VII. I will also be following Yodkhoonpon Sitmonchai through a training camp of what has already been an amazing year in fighting for him. But of course, to do that i have to make this documentary, and i need your help to do so!
Head on over to the IndieGoGo page to help back this project. For those of you who don’t know, IndieGoGo is an easy online platform for anybody in the world to raise more money, from more people, fast. With IndieGoGo you can turn your passion into a funding campaign, promote your idea, engage a fan base, and get funded. They provide all the tools you need to build a campaign and share it with the world.
When you donate money there are rewards in it for you too! Plenty of perks are available. Different perks are on offer in exchange for different contribution levels in the campaign. From simple things such as polaroid pics from shooting, to receiving a free download of the documentary and instructionals once finished. You can even receive free boxing gloves and shorts signed by both Pornsaneh and Yodkhoonpon Sitmonchai! Head to the campaign page and check out all of the rewards in the right column.
Everything i’ve made up to now has been low budget, without focusing too much time on the projects. This time however I’m raising the bar on production value and content. I’m hoping to raise enough money from small donations to be able to make this full length documentary and bonus instructionals.
You’ll be hearing more about this project from me in the future as more updates come in. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this post and i look forward to hearing your thoughts, as well as any support you can give.
Finally, please Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, or share the campaign in any way you can! Community support both from the Muay Thai community, friends and family is the only way this campaign has a chance of succeeding!
