Pinsinchai Gym is not well known to many foreigners and it is very hard to find photo’s, video and info about the gym. Until recently. Owned by Police General Sawake Pinsinchai and having a fight promotion on TV every Sunday (Aswindum), this famous gym is rarely seen and was previously not open to foreign visitors.

It has produced plenty of famous fighters such as “Burlek Pinsinchaï” ( Thailand Champion 1983 and 1984, Lumpinee Champion 1986 and 1987) who runs his own camp in the Lampang region (North), The Burlek Gym, Thailand Pinsinchaï (3 times Lumpinee Champion, Radjadmanen Champion and Thailand Champion) who is now retired from fighting and also international boxers such as Maxsaisai Pinsinchai and Petchtapee Pinsinchai.

Because of Pinsinchais secrecy, not many people have seen their training and have only seen their success in the ring. They continuously turn out high quality fighters which raised the question “What are their training methods?”, “How are they produces great fighters?” . The answer is simple. The gym is nothing but pure and raw old fashioned training.

Now Pinshinchai Gym is open to the public after the launch of their official website. Now that it is tourist friendly, it doesn’t mean that the training will be toned down. All foreigners visiting Pinsinchai should expect nothing but intense grueling training. The gym is known to be a hardcore gym even by Thai standards and the owner General Sawake Pinsinchai is said to be a taskmaster.

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
