Posted in Blog on September 23, 2012
If no one has noticed, the last two articles published have been written by Muay Thai Training Camps new writer Suzi Hall.
Suzi is Educated as a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist in 2006, Suzi has a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience in health and fitness. With over 15 years of running training she completed two marathons, numerous half marathons, off road races, Men’s Health ‘Survival of the Fittest’ and triathlons.
In 2011 coming back from injury and looking for a new challenge she returned to Thailand for 6 weeks to train in Muay Thai. She is still in Thailand and found a home at a Muay Thai gym there. She gives a unique insight into Muay Thai training from a female perspective and also reports on the other idiosyncrasies that make Thailand not only a brilliant place to train but also an interesting place to live!
Here’s more about Suzi from her Personal Training Website
My love of exercise began several years ago when I took up running. In the years since I have completed numerous races, from 5K to marathon distance. I was co-founder of the local running group Barnes Runners and run training days with the club.
Prior to personal training I was a graphic designer, and after working at Runner’s World magazine it seemed natural to turn my enthusiasm for training into a profession. I gained my diploma in personal training and sports massage therapy at Premier International Ltd, the UK’s leading fitness training institute. I recently spent 3 months in Dahab, South Sinai at the El Salam Yoga camp. There I Improved my practise of yoga, which has always been important to me and learned about meditation.
My future plans include an indoor climbing course at the Westway Sports Centre and travelling to Thailand to expand my knowledge by completing a massage course at Wat Po in Bangkok and then continuing my Muay Thai boxing training on Koh Lanta.
Suzi has just written the last two artciles about Star Gym and Yaa Dong. We have alot more to look forward to form Suzi and a more female perspective of Muay Thai life in Thailand!
