Neversay Cutz . . .

Ok, so not usually my style, but today i decided to be a little outrageous and get my hair cut a different way. This past month has been holiday mode for me. I have my girlfriend over in Bangkok for a month so i’ve put work and the website on the backburner until end of next week.
I’ve heard of this swank little barber shop down in Sukhumvit run by a bunch of Hip Hop heads who give quality cuts and shaves. Seeing as my girlfriend and I needed a haircut, I recommended we check out the place.

Located between soi 49 and 51 on Sukhumvit, this barber shop is unisex and is probably the best place you’ll find in Thailand that provides the “Art of Shaving”. At 200 baht for a hair cut and 300 baht for a design and cut, it’s a far throw from my usual 40 baht haircut i receive from the local barber at Sitmonchai. But it’s well worth it!

They even sell the popular spin off shirt “RUN BKK” that promotes BKK invaders. It’s a spinn off of RUN DMC and can be also found as RUN MMA (mixed martial arts). Neversay Cutz also have a Thai hip hop clothing brand on sale called “Reven” (Never backwards) and some of the coolest custom fitted hats. Be sure to check out their FaceBook Page

While getting my cut, at the spur of the moment it seemed that my girlfriend was also coerced into getting a shave along with her alternative haircut. Something we usually wouldn’t do back home but hey “This is Thailand”.

Thought I’d throw this post up for anyone in the Bangkok area who like to stay “get fresh and stay fly” haha. These guys will know what your looking for unlike most of the non English speaking hairdressers you come across in Thailand that end up setting your hair on fire.

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
