K-1 Max Final 16 Card . . . Finally

winnaar Giorgo Petrosyan k 1 max 2009 K 1 Max Final 16 Card . . . Finally
I haven’t posted about K-1 Max’s Final 16 card because they have been too busy mucking around and pulling names out of hat’s until they were happy with their lucky dip results. I don’t know what they’ve been up to, but it’s taken this long for them to settle on a venue and finally announce the fighters.

On October the 3rd, K-1 Max will kick right off and into your face at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul, Korea. They have also presented us with the full card.

MAX Final 16:
Giorgio Petrosyan v. Vitaly Horkou
Gago Drago v. Su Hwan Le
Artur Kyshenko v. Mo Khamal
Mike Zambidis v. Chahid Oulad El Hadj
Michal Glogowski v. Sagatpetch

The 5 winners of these matches will face off with Nagashima, Sato and Kraus in the Final 8 bout.

Of course everyone has their eyes on the Italian Stallion Giorgio Petrosyon who wiped the floor with everyone on his way to win last year’s K-1 Max. I love watching this guy fight, i really do. So precise and composed through out. Did you also know he fights with chairs? Maybe this is his secret? We’ve all been training wrong. The Thai’s don’t really know what they are doing. But the Petrosyan brothers sure do.

Artur of course is the young gun that has come off two losses. Lets wait and see what he brings to the table.

Haven’t seen the pocket rocket Mike Zambidis fight for quite some time. I think he is out of his league in this tournament. He will probably reach the final 8. After that i can only pray for him.

Rumous had it that Pajonsuk was going to replace Buakaw to represent Thailand. Now Sagatpetch Ingram has stolen that spot and Pajonsuk is on the undercard.

Has anyone spotted it yet? Who’s missing from the line up? ANDY SOUWER! Why where are you Andy?
Unfortunalty Andy can not participate in this years K-1 MAX due to his commitments to Shootboxing. A rematch with Giorgio would have been epic.

Born in Australia, training in martial arts since the age of 9. My first trip to Thailand was back in 2007. Since then i have made numerous visits back to the "land of smiles" to feed my addiction of Muay Thai. During the month of November in 2010 i had to decide between working a 9 to 5 job back home for the rest of my life, or sell all my worldly possessions and move to Thailand to live and train for the next few years. Thankfully i chose the latter. I now spend my time training Muay Thai, meeting new and interesting circles of people, sipping coconuts under palm trees on the beach and measuring the cost of everything on how much Pad Thai i could buy with that money.
