Buakaws In! S-Cup 2010 Gets Interesting
Posted in Articles, Fight Scene on November 4, 2010
With all the excitement of this year’s K-1 Max and K-1 GP, most people are missing out on all the action in the lighter weight classes. Thankfully this years Shoot Boxing S-Cup event has heated up with a line up that cannot be ignored. You complained about Andy Souwer and Buakaw Por Pramuk not being in K-1 MAX? Stop fretting. They are going to be slugging it out in this year’s S-Cup.
Just check out this star studded line up for one second.
Andy Souwer – He’s a 3 times S-Cup champ and as everyone knows a 2 times K-1 Max Champ. He also just submitted Hinata within seconds of their Shootboxing fight a few months ago.
Charles “Crazy Horse” Bennett – Emphasis on the crazy. This guy will be a treat to watch. not just because he’s going to be entertaining to watch in the ring, but after all his crazy stunts he will most probably get knocked out cold and seize up mid-fall.
Bovy Sor. Udomson – An intense fighter with not the smartest fight strategy, but a very entertaining on none the less. With a relentless pace Bovy is like a bull in the ring. Very exciting guy to watch with plenty of power.
Buakaw Por Pramuk – Very popular Thai fighter due exposure through K-1. Has claimed the K-1 Max title twice.
Hiroki Shishido – A well known name and a legend in Shootboxing.

Buakaw just slipped in recently and took the empty S-Cup spot to become the second Thai in the tournament. It’s going to be an interesting tournament to watch. I wonder if the standing submissions will have any affect on Buakaw and Bovy. Or will their superior clinch easily control anyone that engages at a close distance. With throws being awarded points in shootboxing it may prove to help or even hinder the two Thai fighters as well. They are strong in the clinch but shootboxing throws which include Judo like throws, are a whole new game.
Tournament will commence this November. So keep your eyes peeled.

There is not much short of hopping on a plane that I would not do to see this live, is there a broadcast and how do I get my hands on it?
